December 13 book: A. J. Sidransky, Incident at San Miguel (fiction, 2023, 278 pages). In December 1958, two brothers, Aaron and Moises Cohan, find themselves on opposite sides of Castro’s revolution. Aaron is a lawyer, working in the Batista administration, while Moses is an economist who is aligned with the revolutionaries seeking to overthrow Batista’s government. Aaron must decide whether to help his brother escape from Batista’s forces. A political thriller with many romantic aspects.
